Guaranteed placements in Catholic schools
How training is structured across home and away school placements, university study, and the CCRS.

Start the academic year in your home school, spending most of your school-based experience there.
Spend time at a second, away school placement between Christmas and February half term.
Take the opportunity to gain experience across both KS5 and KS2.
Attend subject-specific pedagogy sessions and compulsory Friday teaching days at Liverpool John Moores University, worth 60 master credits towards the PGCE.
Meet weekly with trainees from across the partnership for School Wide Development training sessions, which involve some travel.
Complete two Catholic Certificate of Religious Studies modules during the year, including a specialist double module validated for CTT@WWL on the distinctive nature of a Catholic secondary school.
We welcome enquiries from committed graduates of any faith who wish to shape the future of Catholic education.
