Teacher Training in Partnership with LJMU

Catholic Teacher Training @ Wigan and West Lancashire is a lead partner for Initial Teacher Training, working in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University. We are a partnership of ten Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Liverpool who have joined together to offer high-quality teacher training.

The course is a one-year full-time route into teaching, progressing towards a PGCE with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) recommendation. Prospective trainees apply directly to CTT, who are responsible for the recruitment process.

Once selected, trainees work in various schools within the network, training in the classroom with support from qualified teachers and mentors, while also studying at Liverpool John Moores University.
